I have looked for an answer to this but have yet to find it. If there is one I am sorry in advance.

I have a Hunt Group setup on one of our systems where about 10 people are on Hunt Group. This group takes reports from outside calls. For example if I called in and pressed "2" it would forward me to this hunt group. I have one line that seems to stop working from time to time.

When I say that I mean that the calls would come in but their line would not ring. They would not be on the phone, they would be a the desk. The strange part is this only seems to happen at night after 5pm. I have checked the time profiles, and there is none for 5pm. I have checked the logs and settings and nothing jumps out at me. My gut is telling me this might be user related somehow.

Has anyone seen behavior like this?

Thanks

Not really, do a default monitor trace. That should tell what happens with the call and why.

Is the user still logged into the group when this happens or does it miraculously log the user out?

I really couldn't find anything in the trace, I have one running now, if it happens again I will get the logs. It looks like the phone is always logged in and sounds like the operator is "busy" or on the phone. So the Hunt Group skips over them and doesn't ring.

I might just make this a Cover situation where one phone number is the main line and have the members of the Hunt Group cover that line.

Thanks

Could be that the user has call forwarding enabled. These users are ignored in hunt groups.

That was one of the first things I tried. I some how think that when they get of the call before the problem the line doesn't disconnect. Thanks though.
