I have a customer with VM Pro and operating 5 companies one the IPO system. I currently route the calls to the users through individual hunt groups for the 5 different companies. During business hours they see the company name associated with the hunt group and know how to answer in a company specific manner. The issue is that after hours, when calls route to user mailboxes, they are not able to tell which company the caller called. Many of the users on the system receive calls for multiple companies. I have considered giving multiple mailboxes to each user but am thinking that there could be an easier way to notify them of the company the caller called. I have individual modules for each company that I route the calls to directly from the ICR tables. The calls are then routed to mailboxes after hours from menu options. System is running 9.0 software. Thanks in advance.

I would create Phantom hunt groups and leave the message in a company specific hunt group mailbox. With user source numbers H<groupname> you should be fine.

I thought of that too. If I can't send the group info to their individual mailboxes, then I will have to build phantom boxes for each user and each company. I was trying to not have to create all those M/B's

I think creating five mailboxes would need less time than the time you invested in searching for another solution. ;-)

I'm not sure if you have the option to use tags or similar like you have in transfer action.

Since you have voicemail pro you can do this with the email action inserted into a custom leave mail action for each user. Then you can use variables in the body of the email to tell the user what they need to know.

This is assuming they are using voicemail to email.

In VMPro use DDI routing to select the proper mail box.
Give the users the HGroupname source code and voilá, done.
