I want to add a user to a huntgroup and forward their calls. I can do this, but if they are on their cell when a hunt group call comes in the call is forwarded to their cell phone voicemail. How can I get the call to circle to someone else that's logged into the queue instead of their voicemail.

This could have happened because my testing was when they were the only one in the hunt group.

are you using forwarding or twinning? If forwarding you can't if twinning then adjust the timer on the mobility tab mobile answer guard.

It's currently at zero, what should I set it to?

I was forwarding.

It is in seconds so try 2 or 3 and see if has the same issues. This is a test and see thing as all cell phones do not go to VM at the same time when busy. Just remember that the system will see any answer within this time setting as to soon and redirect, so if someone answers to quick it might cause issues also.

Tell me if I'm correct or not. If I use twinning and the person is on their cell while a hunt group call is forwarded the call will be seen as an incoming call and the user will have the option to pick it up. If the set the guard to 7 seconds the call will be redirected to someone else in the queue because it's less than the No Answer time in the Telephony tab and probably shorter than the time on the person's cell phone voicemail no answer time?

Mobile Answer Guard

Default = 0 (Off). Range = 0 to 99 seconds. This control can be used in situations where calls sent to the twinned destination are automatically answered by a voicemail service or automatic message if the twinned device is not available. If a twinned call is answered before the Mobile Answer Guard expires, the system will drop the call to the twin.

It stops the other device from being twinned. The office extension. Basically I want to forward huntgroup calls to cell phones, but if their cell phones are busy then the hunt group calls should redirect to someone else activly logged into the hunt group. This is what happens in a hunt group. At no time do I want someone to leave a voicemail on the cell phone.

I'm not making sense of this. If a call is twinned two phones ring until the call is picked up or hits the voicemail of the device that has the shortest time before it goes to voicemail. This is not really what I'm trying to do. I want my customer service queue to be able to work from home so I will forward or twin their huntgroup calls, which works. Their cell phones will ring. However, if they are on their phone the call should redirect to someone else that is logged into the queue instead of even ringing at all. This is how a hunt group works. Calls are redirected to the next available customer service person.

I'm going to use twinning and lower the hunt group no answer call to 25 seconds. This should be short enough to transfer the call before the cell VM picks up. Thanks for your help.

not sure if you can do this remember this is limited in its use and will have more limitations then the desk phones as there is more call control. You could try to not use any cal waiting features on the huntgroup and make sure mobility is limited to 1 call.
