On a 3300 CX 9.0, Does anyone know where to setup the time that the hunt group rings each member in the group?. I have a request from someone that wants to use the circular feature to be fair to other employees. Thats why we are not using the ring group. Im thinking this should be pretty simple but cant find it anywhere in the help file or the knowledge base..

Just the noasnwer time in the COS i think

It is the CFNA timer in the COS of the first member of the huntgroup.

OR

you can assign a COS to the hunt group directly.

huh? didn't know you could jump between members in a HG on a single call...

thought that's why ring groups were brought in amongst other reasons...

to confirm then you are saying that if I call a trigger number for a HG then the first set will ring, when CFNA timer expires it will ring the next extension in that HG and so on.

again HUH?!

yeah what tlpeter and kwb say is correct for a HUNT GROUP but it sounds like cknipe you need a Ring Group with the cascade option. In this case it's just changing the cascade timer in the ring group options

Mitelpassion,

It has always been my understanding that calls to a hunt group will attempt to ring a designated station and if that station does not answer, the call will proceed to the next member.

I must admit it has been a very long time since I verified or observed this and I cannot find supporting documentation.

If I get a chance, I'll test on my lab system.

No that's never been the case with Mitel Hunt groups. In a hunt group it will either attempt the first member in terminial or in sequence in circular, but it will only ever ring 1 set, it's not designed to hop to the next agent. It will just follow the groups first alternative.

In Ring groups you can either have a ring all or cascade ring group which is the type which hops to the next etc

MitelMatt, you are correct.

It is amazing how misperceptions can persist until questioned. I dug very deep looking for this but couldn't find it. I even checked the SX-200 and UCD functionality to see if it might be there.

Mitel hunt groups will ring an available idle station until answered unless routed elsewhere. Got it.

In my situation since calls were coming from the Auto Attendant to the hunt group, I increased the Transfer Ringback timeout timer and that helped my situation. Whats kind of odd is that I have my Call reroute setup to Ring the Hunt group. The 1st alt rings a rollover hunt group. and the 2nd alternate rings the receptionist. Each hunt group has its own mailbox that the call will end up gong to if the receptionist does not pick up. Does anyone know how the call can make it to voicemail although it is not programmed to go there through the call reroute forms?

The receptionist phone must have either forwarding or routing on no answer to voicemail. The call will follow the routing of the Hunt grp 1st alt, then 2nd alt, then if still not answered it will follow the routing of the final destination.

that's exactly what I've known since I started working on the Mitel since around release 3 I think it was...

anyway the draw back with ring groups is the fact that it's terminal no matter what (someone stated that earlier in the post)
