Looking to install ACS R8 with Partner Messaging. To make things work the way customer would like, I'm hoping I can get hunt group calls to circle back around to an AA. My plan is to program the hunt group as described in thread688-1164280. Then, I'd like to have the last extension in the hunt group actually be an Automated Attendant Extension. From what I can gather from the Partner Messaging Quick Ref, "an Automated Attendant extension is one that sends the caller to one of the four Automated Attendants". So, theoretically, I should be able to have AA 1 direct calls to the hunt group, assign AA 2 to a higher extension number than the last physical extension, and add that to the hunt group extenion assignment. When a call comes in, the caller gets AA 1, transfers to the hunt group and if no one answers, goes to AA 2 which then allows callers to enter a specific extension number or go to the general mailbox...right????? Or, the alternative, I'm nuts and have absolutely no idea what I'm doing:( Any ideas or alternatives are appreciated.

one problem with your theory, huntgroup calls do not cover to the individual extension mailboxes, but if you would call the extension assigned as an Auto Att then it would play the Auto Att greeting.
If you get transferred to the huntgroup does it cover back to voicemail? I doubt that it does but it might ring back to voicemail after the transfer return time set in the system.
Hunt group is also only one phone ringing at the time not a calling group where they are ringing all at once, just to make sure we are talking about the same thing.

If you can't be good, be good at it!

Personally, I'd transfer to a CALLING group, instead of a Hunt Group. All of the extensions would ring, but when the transfer return rings expires, the call goes to the mailbox for the calling group, which you set as Auto Attendant No. 2.

TTT, I think that I shall. For this customer the call going to an AA is more important than the call hunting. Thanks for your assistance!!
