hunt group and night service question

I'm losing my mind with this, and I know it isn't rocket science....

What I want to happen:
During the day, a hunt group to answer all incoming calls, at night, I want the auto attendant to pick up. I have set up a time profile (8am-5pm), and when I set the hunt group to have that time profile... after 5, the calls are going to the hunt group's voicemail box and not the auto attendant. When I remove voice mail capability to the hunt group, the main number rings busy.

The system is running 3.1.56.

I altered the time profile, to make sure it wasn't that. Also, when I remove the time profile from the hunt group, it just hits the hunt group. In the incoming call route for the main number, I added the night service information - and it just seems to ignore it.

I'm missing something stupid here, I have to be!

Also -- another question -- can you create a hunt group to do this:

user 1 --> user 2 --> user 3 --> user 1's voice mail (if no other users pick up)

I created a linear hunt group, and it basically does what I want, but is there a way to make it hit a voice mail box at the end?

For the first part it should look similar to

Line group ID 0
Incoming number
Incoming sub address
incoming caller id
Destination Main <--day hunt group>
Locale
Priority 1
Fallback extension

Night Service Profile: Night <-name of night time profile>
Night Service Destination: VM:AA1 <--sub "AA1" for name of your Auto Attendant module name in VMpro>

Second part, Turn on Vmail for huntgroup.

Under VMpro Specific startpoints> Groups > "your huntgroup" add a new "leave" startpoint.

Add a "Goto" action with the first user's vmail leave node as the destination.

As for the night service - that didn't work. I believe that is what I originally had programmed. It is behaving like it is the day.

Maybe my time profile is wrong? How should it look if they are open from 8am-5pm? I have it as 08:00 - 17:00.

If you use the time profile in our huntgroup settings (Fallback) then the time profile should say when to huntgroup is "In Service Mode" for example 08:00-17:00 MonTueWedThuFri.

If you use the time profile in "Incomming Call Route" then the time profile should say when to DDI should go to the night destination for example

00:00-07:59 MonTueWedThuFri
17:00-23:59 MonTueWedThuFri
00:00-23:59 SatSun

As a personal preference I usualy prefer to use N/s on the huntgroup in prefference to the incomming call route

This has the advantage of alowing the users to manualy activate N/S for public holidays or clossing early etc.
