I am somewhat perplexed and need a brainstorming partner. Here is a description of the setup:

Our main line is a speed call #. The speed call number points to a device on the system (ext. 4000). Ext. 4000 is set to ALWAYS reroute to a HG (hg#4900); HG4900 members include 5 lines for incoming calls to the main line*. HG4900 has the appropriate day, nigth1 and night2 settings. The reason for this call flow setup is so we can get MWI for the general mailbox.

*The 5 lines appear as appearances on the attendant's station (5330 telephone)

Here is the problem:
1. When night1 or night2 is activated by the attendant, call flow works the way it is configured. Night1 = voicemail box; Night2 = reroute to remote office attendant

2. When day mode is activated, calls never reach the voicemail system. In the call reroute form, ext. 4000 is set to always reroute to "50". "50" points to HG4900. HG4900 has day mode set to "1" (basically, ring); night1 set to "12" (direct to vm); night2 set to "8" (direct to att. in remote); first alternate set to "12" (direct to vm).

What am i missing????

It is a common misperception that call rerouting is inherited from hop to hop. It is not.

Ext 4000 needs to be set Always to HG4900 AND 4000 also needs the 1st alt set to VM.
