Hunt and Fdn directly to the external number 1

Hello,

I am confuse and at the same time, is this ok or not to do so...

I change my tn and put my cell number on fdn and hunt and it took the input without any error and when I dial that DN (TN I just changed), after no answer or busy, it goes to cell phone directly.

I thought it was not working like that before and I do not know why it's work now... I mean we are allowed to put more than 4 digit in fdn and hunt... but I put my cell and IT WORK'S.

SO my question, for best practice, it is ok to do a fdn and hunt directly to cell phone.. Because, before, I was like creating a phantom which forward all the time to the cell and modify my line hunt and fdn with the DN of the phantom.

It's OK to add in the full phone number. From what I recall, many years ago, you could only enter in a maximum of 7 digits against any FDN, HUNT, EFD and EHT etc. I this this was the case until release 21.xx or 22.xx was released when Nortel increased the digit length to allow more numbers to be entered in.

Nice to know...
But as I was testing... I have a strange problem...
Call from Internal : everything work's well : Hunt and FDN
Call from external : (Hunt) it's work's only when the line is busy it's forward to cell ... but when it is not busy, it does not forward anywhere instead it's continue to ring non-stop.

Any idea.

Try changing the CLS to CFTA

I usually set CLS = FNA HTA CFTA SFA HBTA
Then I would have
HUNT = MY CELL
FDN = MY CELL
EFD = MY CELL
EHT = MY CELL

SCH8986 means package 131 not equipped, this is to do with "International supplementary Features" what ever that means!

Make sure EXTT is set to yes under NET_DATA in LD 15. If set to no it will stop an inbound call from being transfer back out a trunk to you cell phone. Just a thought.

Check your RDR_DATA block. But from what I see in your tn print, it should be working if it hunts ok.

As a test, change your set to CLS SFD

On the other hand, if you need SFA because you want an already redirected call to forward to your Cell, then add your cell to an ACD's NCFW, setting the ACD Queue with MWC=YES

@ghtrout : I did change to sfd no difference. I also tried to create ACD but the almost same thing happen... When I tried to call the acd from outside, it goes to cell phone number this is correct

But, when I configure my 2002p2 with hunt and fdn with new acd created
After, I dial the 2002p2 extension from external, it goes to receptionist??? instead of going to cell.

I also tried to create Phantom which forward to cell all the the time and configure the 2002p2 hunt and fdn with the DN of the phantom, it work's only from internal and from external only when the line is busy. (same thing as mention in the beginning)

When I dial the phantom extension directly from external, it goes to cell, which is normal ...why it does not work when I configure it to 2002p2 phone

Anything... I am out of idea...
