Hung Lines. Why?

Hello,

I came into work this morning to having 4 out of 7 of my lines hung. When you press the line it just says in use. No station identification. I have a CallPilot 100, but am not sure if that was the cause. I also had one phone doing line redirection, but when I showed the line it said Not Being Redirected so I don't think that was the cause either.

I have two LSDS Modules installed. Lines are 1-4 and 31-33. When I disabled the 1st card (Lines 1-4), it cleared all four hung lines which were Lines 4,5,6, and 7 (4,31,32, and33). I am also running a MICS 0x32 with 6.0.

I am new to this system so I do not know too much....(Just enough to cause trouble I suppose). Does anyone know what I can do now to find out what may have caused this to happen? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank You,

John

If you have a Butt set monitor lines when hungup, and see if the are stuck in voicemail jail.
You also need to make sure Telco is providing you with disconnect supervision on lines.
Also make sure the lines are programed in system for supervision.

Good Luck!!

Ahhhhh.....supervision was not on. I do believe this will fix the problem as I did monitor a few calls with one possible issue. When people are getting a voicemail greeting they hang up. "Oh well...didn't want thier message anyway." When they hang up the system holds it for about 15 to 20 seconds...one did not release it at all. After enabling supervision...they hung up much quicker. So I am assuming that the system is fixed....or it's just moody at certain times of the day.

Thanks,

John :)
