Huge plot files

We have recently upgraded to Acad r2002. We typically need to make color plots with many attached bitmaps. In Release 14 the plot files were around 7 or 8 megs. In R2002 they are 35 or 40 megs for the same drawing. Our reprographics service is having a hard time dealing with these. Does anyone know how to get these plot files down to a more manageable size?

I think there is a plot update file/patch available for 2002, Im using 2002 also, but dont have to plot to .plt files. Check the website and Im sure you'll find it..... Jay~
