My friend's monitor resolution somehow got changed to the largest setting. Now, the windows are so large that he cannot see the slider tab on the display properties window to change the setting. HELP!

Reboot the system and start pressing the F8 button after the POST. It should take you to the startup options screen. Select safe mode and when it loads into Windows, change the video settings to 640x480 and make sure you set the refresh rate to adapter default. Reboot and it should boot into Windows normally. When it does, change the settings back and see if it holds...

Perhaps this is a little late, but for future reference--
If you want to do this from within Normal mode, then
Open you display settings
Hit ALT+SPACEBAR
Hit M (for move)
Use your arrow keys to position the window so that you can see it
Hit ENTER to stop the moving process.

Repeat as needed. Mudskipper
