Hello-

I was wondering if there's a way to compress out Exchange 5.5. database it's about 11gigs and getting bigger. If there's a command to such a task please let me know ASAP!!

Thanks again for your help!

Is it the priv.edb and pub.edb that are that big, or is it the logs that are taking up the space? If its the logs, you can shutdown all of the services and delete all the EDB*.LOG files in both the EXCHSRVR\DSADATA and EXCHSRVR\MDBDATA directories (I would back them up instead of deleting them just in case.) Check out MS Q128325 for details.

Backup your database and choose flush committed logs.

Then highlight users and user the clean mailbox tool. This may help. Failing that, take the store offline and use the command line tools to do a compact database.

11GB is not that big.
