Gotta question. Lets say I want to assign a DID to an extension 3939. So I have a did range of 3000 to 3999.

1. How do I assign a DID to a station?

2. How do I view my did range 3000 to 3999 to see whats been assigned already?

do a "list trunk-group" to identify your incoming ISDN30 trunk group

then do a display trunk-group x and go to your INCOMING CALL HANDLING TREATMENT on page 4 to see what translations you have (deleting/inserting digits)

you may be deleting a number of digits from the presented length to leave you with 3xxx. If you're not sure about this page paste what you have into a post

To assign a DDI just add the relevant extension so for instance to add DDI number 3011 just add extension 3011 and the switch will route the call to x3011 based on the translations on page 4 of the trunk group

My page 4 shows QSIG Trunk Group Options

sbs no

OK the screen changes depending on your software level

have a look at "change inc-call-handling-trmt trunk-group x

Incoming Call Handling Treatment screen appears. Everything is blank.

Do I not have the proper permissions? Adding or viewing a DID woudln't seem like a thing high on the permissions list. Also we are beta switch s8400

can you try and add an extension with in the DDI range and call it, see what happens?

The Extension is already setup tho. 3939 Ive called that did number doesn't work.

If you really know what your DID range is just do a list station or list extension. You will see what is assigned. If you only thik your DID range is 3000 - 3999 call your network vendor to verify what you really have. You may have holes in your range. You may not have the 39XX group. All you should have to do to build a new DID station is build it with that 3XXX range. Once it is built you should be able to call it. What do you get when you dial the DID number XXX-XXX-3939?

Fast Busy im pretty sure we have the 3000 to 3999 range. I got that from Avaya Site Admin Browse Dial Ranges.

Yup we dont own 3939 DID we want to map 3737 to the internal extension 3939. For some reason the commands you had me entered don't show up or its blank.

what happens if you add extension 3737, does it ring?

if so you can just call forward 3737 to 3939

How do I that? We dont have an actual phone setup on 3737. I'm trained in the IPO and interactive intelligence I dont have any Definity knowledge.

Did edit station 3737 I don't see any call forward or DND forward options.

Hi

You have two options to send calls from 3737 to 3939.

Option 1)Alter trunk page
Option 2)Remotely call forward 3737 to 3939 (you will need to create an export for 3737 for this to work. If this hasn't been done, I would probably go for option 1)

Option 1)
You can alter the trunk page to automatically divert calls from 3737 to 3939.
- Type: cha trunk x
- Go to page 3
- Enter a line that looks like the following:
INCOMING CALL HANDLING TREATMENT
Service/ Called Called Del Insert Per Call Night
Feature Len Number CPN/BN Serv
public-ntwrk 4 3737 all 3939 none

- Save your changes.

Option 2)
You can remotely forward 3737 to 3939 from your own phone. To do this, you need a series of permissions and feature access codes.
- Type: change cos
- Take a note of which Class of Service has got 'y' for console permissions
- Type: change station xxxx (xxxx being your extension)
- Give yourself the above cos
- save changes
- Type: display feature
- Take a note of the Call Forward Activate/Deactivate code

To forward 3737 to 3939, do the following from YOUR PHONE.

END USER INSTRUCTIONS TO ACTIVATE:
1) Dial the call forward feature access code (FAC)
2) Enter extension number of phone they want to forward
3) Enter forward destination number (9 if external). You will hear 3 confirmation beeps

END USER INSTRUCTIONS TO DEACTIVATE
1) Dial call forward deactivate code
2) Dial extension number that you want to deactivate

TO CHECK WHETHER THE CALL FORWARD HAS WORKED:
Type: sta sta 3737
Under CF Destination, you should see 3939.

Hope this helps.

Cheers Ash

Option 1 is basicly setting up a incoming call route..right?
Option 2 wow I can't believe it takes that much to do that. The other systmes i'm used to I can change a users status, settings, DND, call forwarding, rings til VM Pickup, and a bunch more through the Station setup/settings. I'm surprised a system of this caliber has such limited functionality for an administrator.

I have another question

Where do you see all the FAC?

On IPO they were called short codes and you could see a list of them and even add more features/shortcodes.

example *17 voicemail collect
