Is it possible to trim down the database folder in the Arcserve 2000, I am running out of space on my c drive and trying to come up with ideas of how to save some, the database folder is over 1gig large. Also, is it possible to move the arcserve program to a different drive "e" and use a tool such as linkd.exe on win2k3 server machine to make a transparant link to this program? Any ideas. Thanks.

As far as I know a reinstall is the only way to relocate the program.

To reduce database size
quick - initialize the astpsdat database, you loose the list of files and directories. if you need to restore then just merge that session back in.

slow - reduce the # days for the prune job and then run the command line utility keybuild on each of the databases
