Hub Transport High Availability across AD sites.

Dear All,

Just a quick question: I have two Data Centres and want to make our Exchange 2010 fully resilient.
One of the questions I have is this: If the Hub Transport Server in the primary DC dies, will the mail be redirected to the Hub Transport Server in the second DC?

Or is it necessary to have multiple HTS per AD Site to make it fully resilient?

Both DCs are in different AD Site and both will have their independent route out.

Any help much appreciated.

Regards.

Michael.

HTs operate in the local site only so you need 2 per site for resilience.

Zelandakh,

That's what I thought.

CHeers.
