HTTPS sites lost after fixing and working and then rebooting!

I used the threads as a combination fix and did everything. Finally got to HTTPS secure sites for client running WIN XP HOME. Rebooted and lost the HTTPS sites access with nothing changed. What could have possibly happened. Please Help.
