I am having a problem connecting to a https site through a pix. It works if I do not go through the pix, but when using the pix is come back with a "page could not be displayed".

I have tried other https sites and they work.

Anyone seen any funnies with https connections before?

Thanks

Yes, I have the same problem to a small number of https sites - other ones work fine. It's not an issue with browser settings/encyption or whatever as the sites work fine except through the PIX (515E)

I'm surprised that we seem to be the only ones who have ever seen this problem.

Had a brainstorm - I changed the MTU size. (We usually set the MTU size on our network devices low due to issues with certain remote access devices). When I changed it to the default value of 1500 (for ethernet) I was able to access those https sites finally.

Just look for the lines starting with mtu in your configuration.

I hope this helps.
