https and response.redirect

On our website, when the users type in a link, I want them to go to

https://www.link

instead of

http://www.link.

I already have the verisign certificate installed on the server, but now how would I go about accomplishing this task? I know I want to use a response.redirect and probable rename the page, because all I would need is that one line of code in the original page right? Also, how do I make the user go to that https:// link; just put the whole link instead of the filename? e.g. response.redirect "

https://www.link.com"

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
