A newbe here. We have a 6500 series in service for some time now and we ususally telnet to confiure and set ports, etc. However, I want to use my browser to get a graphical interface to connect/ configure the switch. What do you turn on or off to configure the switch to be able to do this? Also the browser ask for two logons and passwords. Where do i configure these as well?

thanks. John

To turn it on it would be , set ip http server enable . Sometimes this takes a specific catos image to be able to use this function though . You have to check this out, your image name will have to have the letters "CV" (ciscoview) in it such as cat6000-supcv.6-4-15.bin if it is catos .
