Hi,

My apache server is running but it keeps saying it is not?! I am using Apache 1.3.27 on a Solaris 7

# /usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl start
/usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl start: httpd started
# /usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl stop
/usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl stop: httpd (no pid file) not running

Please help

Have a look at your PidFile Directive is the directory writable for the apache user ?
