http_403 error when sync to exchange 2003

Our Exchange server 2003 and OWA with SSL is working just fine.

But when trying to connect with the Motorola 220 smartphone after installing the certificate I get and HTTP_403 error.

The Exchange 2003 server is running on Windows 2000 server SP4. It's not an front end server.

Microsoft has posted a KB 817379 article but I'm not sure that its the soulution to my problem. In method two they post a work arround regarding windows 2003 IIS - the options are diffirent in 2003 than in 2000 and I'm not sure what to do...

Any help will be nice...
