Would appreciate if relevant info is posted here - no point in jumping on and off 2 sites to see what is going on.

Thinks to look at.
linked servers configuration - is it all the same?
local and remote server - is packet size configured same way on all servers?
network connections - are all switches/routers between local server and the different remote servers all configured the same way and have all the same capabilities (e.g. 10Gbit vs 1Gbit network?)
servers memory, HD configuration and speed, number of cpus, maxdop, size and configuration of tempdb, etc - all equal in all servers?

you are executing a query on remote server and inserting into a local server - what happens when you execute and insert the results into a table on the remote server instead of the local one?

you mention same execution plan - this is the less important aspect of it - run the proc in each server (localy on each server itself) and look at statistics IO - see what is the difference in terms of physical and specially logical reads
