Can someone tell me the difference between a page that is password protected and a page that is https.

Hi mate,

https means that it is a secure site that uses encryption to tranfer information and password protected is simply a htaccess file or similar that allows you to enter if you supply the correct details.

Which leads me to a (a stupid?) question, is there any sense in using a secure server if your 'orders' are not being stored on the server but being sent to you via email?
