Hi all.

Currently we are working on the implementation of one new web service. I like now what are the differences between HTTP o HTTPS and how to measure the load of the impact over our proxy and Web server.

One is secure, the other one isn't. There should be no real load difference between them. HTTPS requires a certificate. HTTP does not.

Basically, you should not expect any relevant server impact using one over the other.

The only reason to choose one over the other should be the requirements of the webservice. Does it need to be offered over a secure layer or not?
