Hello all, i am running a windows server 2003 and i have installed WAMP5 and i cannot access the webserver by Domain name or by IP address localy i get the 403 error: The website declined to show this webpage

If i go onto the server and try localhost or 127.0.0.1 i can access it fine... i cannot get into the windows firewall because i have RRAS running... and im not sure how to fix this can anyone help me?

-Thanks

Is WAMP5 running on IIS or apache? If it's running on apache, then this isn't an issue with windows but with the web server itself. 403 actually means permission denied, so the first thing I'd check would be permissions. Also, maybe check your IE settings where you're trying to access the site from. maybe your username and password aren't being sent to the server and that's why you're getting this error?

Good Luck !!

yeah you were right it was a security feature in apache... its never happened to me before so i thought it might have been the server... guess i was wrong... Thanks for your help though.
