HTTP Server on Cisco 2924XL fails to authenticate

Darn switch fails to authenticate anyone trying to access it's web server. I have AAA enabled for local only. A dialog box comes up asking for a username and password. Which one? My username and password, or the secret enable password, or what? After 3 tries the page says that I failed to authenticate or my browser doesn't support it. I have IE 5.5 SP1.

Unless you have defined usernames for logging into the switch, you can leave the username field in the dialogue box blank & just enter the enable password.

Disabling AAA and doing a write mem + reload has done it!
