Hi,

I have a website where clients can registered and have the possibility to have a personnal page. I would like to offer them the possibility to have a personnal URL on the form :

as I am not an expert at all with system configuration, I would like to know how I can do that (the process must work without human intervention).

I am using JSP and JServ

Thank you very much

This is going to be a DNS and web server issue mostly

You will need to have a wildcard subdomain (*.myClient.com) in your DNS configuration. And you will need to add a name-based virtual host to your web server configuration for each client.(I'm assuming you don't want to give them a new IP for each client.)

If you are able to access your DNS and web server configurations, and need help creating the automated process, you can post here what DNS system you are using and which Web Server and I will try to help you. But the process is different for each system.

Regards,
Gerald

Hi Gerald,

Thank you for your help.

We are using Apache as Web Server...and I don't know what DNS system we are using. Does this information depends of our provider? Anyway, we have full access to all systems. The problem is more "How to use it!"

Regards,
H.
