HTTP IP Loggin Question

I have got a web site that is getting hacked daily and can't trace it back to people becuase the IP addy I log is mostly a proxy IP or some other fake IP that has been bounced off somewhere ...... Is there anyway of getting someones real IP addy if they are going through a proxy server

Well yes and no, you are getting the real ip address it just happens to be a proxy server, but someone actually runs the proxy (he has the real ip of the user) so you could contact the feds (cold day in hell that they will actually do something unless your a bank) or just block the ip address (most likely the entire network) of the offender and move along. (if you don't host it then have your isp block it, if its not AOL that is

I would try to contact the proxy server's owner and complain though it can't hurt to try
