I'm trying to use PHP to pre-process form data, and send the processed data on to an external form, using POST methodology. I know this must be really easy, but so far I've not found how to do this. I've read about headers for content length, content type, and everything else - but where does the data itself go? How can I send it through php?

Thanks Feherke. I use the php forum, but often find that I get a better response to more technical http-related questions on other forums. In this case, my underlying question is not at all php-related. Restated, it reads:
"What is the format (headers and all) of a POST request to a web server?"
Of course it would be even nicer if that translates to php :)
