I just installed Enterprise 8 on a Win2K machine running IIS 3.0. I did the standard install and when I try to run the Management Console or any links from the Launchpad, I get the HTTP 500 - page cannot be displayed error. I searched around on the crystaldecisions support page and found references to this error - mostly checking on the virtual directory mapping to crystal and then the app file extensions. These all appear to be set correctly.

IIS also appears to be fine. I can display a simple page without Crystal intervention.

Any ideas for me? I would appreciate it!

Liz

Are you sure that's IIS3? W2K comes with IIS5.
I'd try this: open IIS and open the crystal virt directory. Navigate to eportfolio folder and r-click on the default.csp and Browse. Still no luck?
Can you view any of the sample asp pages that IIS provides? CSP is similar, should work the same.
I would concentrate on the web server, given the error message. Drastic step: blow away the web server, reinstall it, and reinstall the CE webcomponents only. That will re-create the application mappings and the Crystal and Viewer directores.
You could also re-create the app mappings manually. has to be done in 8.3 convention, though - it's IIS after all. :)

Thanks for your help. I ended up reinstalling the OS figuring there was something in the disk image that kept it from recognizing the the virtual directory mappings. So, a fresh install went much more smoothly. I should have done that from the start instead of fighting with it for two days...

Thanks again! Lizzieb
