Hello,
I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right forum.
Here's the situation.

I have a client who is trying to log on to a secure site from home. From work, they can log on no problem.
After they enter their user name/password, they get HTTP 404 error.
They assure me they are entering the correct user name & password.
Is it possible that this is a security issue on the home computer? Firewall? Browser security??

Thanks in advance!
Amber

Yes, all of those are a possibility. However, it's also a possibility that their work systems are locked down for internal use, and so some pages may not be available externally.

I'd check this first, IMHO.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but the page is from an external site - not an intranet site.

Is this using two computers one at each location or a laptop that the user takes home?

Can they get to other secure sites, such as banking or online insurance?

Also does it jump from Https > http once the details have been entered. Going from memory, when swapping from secure to unsecure site, IE prompts you if you wish to do this. they may of choosen "No" and ticked the rememeber this setting box.

Only the truly stupid believe they know everything.
