Hi,

Until a few days ago, Apache ran quite well on my XP computer. Now I'm starting to get 206 (Partial Contents) problems... only seems to happen with image files.

Here's a sample line from the access log:

Code:
127.0.0.1 - - [26/Jul/2006:21:47:55 +0200] "GET /v3/~img/produkter/kollektion/2006/14-d2.jpg HTTP/1.1" 206 52406

Please advice

Jakob

Hi Fererke,

My problem is, that some images only gets shown partially in the browser window -and some times won't be displayed at all.

Funny thing is, that most images work just fine. BTW, I've tried clearing the browser cache.

I'm testing with IE / FireFox / Netscape / Opera.

Thanks

Hi

That is strange. The server should send partial content only if is requested to :

10.2.7 206 Partial Content

The server has fulfilled the partial GET request for the resource.
The request MUST have included a Range header field (section 14.35)
indicating the desired range, and MAY have included an If-Range
header field (section 14.27) to make the request conditional.
My next suggestion had to be clearing the browser cache, disabling proxy and checking computer clock. But never mind.

Now you could check the HTTP headers to see how the request looks. In FireFox with LiveHTTPHeaders extension and in Explorer with ieHTTPHeaders.

Feherke.
