Hi,

I'm looking for a binary to generate passwords for my domain - online, using a PHP script.

Guess I *think* need a linux version of htpasswd.exe, right? If so, got a link?

I don't know if my host/provider allows me to exec files on the server, though - if not, then how do I get about it?

Thanks a bunch

Atually, you do not need an htpasswd.exe for Linux. You need the original program, [tt]htpasswd[/tt], of which htpasswd.exe is a Win32 port. Some unix-like OS (I don't recall which one) is the development platform for apache.

[tt]htpasswd[/tt] will have been installed when Apache was installed on your service provider's server. Ask them whether you have access to it and how.
