Hi, I just would like to ask you guys if you have any idea as to how I could make the html-based emails I send out in html view as the default view? We are using Groupwise 6.5.

The test html-based email I sent is shown as text, I want it to be viewed by my colleagues as html first without having to change/swith views.

Any ideas? any help is appreciated. Thanks a lot.

It's a simple setting in the client.

Tools - options - Environment - Views .... There is a default for both Read AND Compose. Just change it to whatever you want.

On a global level, you can choose a specific setting and then lock it down so that all clients will inherit those settings. You do that in ConsoleOne under Client Settings of the domain or post office.

Hi marvhuffaker, thank you for your response. I can change the default view to html view on my colleagues' machines. But there's loads of them and it's not feasible at the moment to go to them one by one and change the settings. And we don't want to go to the 'global level' setting.

There's one organization that sends us monthly enewsletter and when we open the email, it defaults the view to html view. The text view is greyed out. (I don't think our global setting is defaulted to html view) I was just wondering if there's a script/codes in the html email they are sending us. (But when I've looked at the html source of the email, it's just normal css and html tags.) I've tried to download the html source of that email and tried to send it to myself, but then it defaults to txt view.

Any ideas? Cheers
