Can anyone help me.
I have created an Intranet. It has now grown into quite a substantial site. My users would now like to be able to search the site. I have searched around but cannot find an unhosted page search. Can anyone hemp me or guide me in the right direction. All I want is a simple word search html script that will sit on a search page and display reults when searched for specific words.

Thanks

Hi,

There's lots of them out there, for free too.

Here's a javascript one, you compile the search engine yourself. It takes a little work but it's very good!

I have posted the details here:

Any problems just shout!

Hi mate,

Can you use Perl on your server??

If so then check out the following script.

This will do everything that you need and more, it is a very nice script.

You will not get a pure HTML search engine, you need some other language to process the data, whether it be Perl, Javascript, PHP, ASP etc....

Hope this helps Wullie
