HTML RTF resources

Does anyone know of a website or other resource where i could gather information on richtext format codes and there html tag counterparts
example:

{RTF FORMAT CODE} = THIS {HTML TAG}

Reason: I want to build my own rtf to html converter

RTF isn't really tag based like HTML, so there's no real direct mapping; conversion between the two isn't as straightforward as you are hoping.

IS this purely an intellectual exercise, or do you have a requirement for an rtf to html converter?

I am going to try to add the converter to a software package I developed for my self. It already has automatic
HTML tagging for text fonts images etc. however back when it was developed I was not aware of the richtext control and I have to specify a tag each time I need one (on plain multiline textbox) no wysiwyg. Just thought this would help development for my website. I could use dreamweaver, frontpage, blah blah, but I like to try to understand things inside and out.
