Dunno if this is possible, don't even know if I am in the correct forum list, BUT i have been given a task, which I have completed 50%, now I just need a suitable front end...

I have developed a version control database in MS SQL, with 7 relevant fields. I currently use Crystal Reports via Crystal Enterprise to update this database via a stored procedure. But Crystal does not give me a very good front end. I was thiking of creating something in HTML (of which I do not know too much) - and wondered if it is possible to update a backend database using a stored procedure from an HTML page?

HTML is a markup language and as such cannot do any programing logic like connecting to and updating database or even a simple if clause. However, HTML can work with server side languages to provide the markup and together with css the presentation of the system that through server side language communicates with the database. But as long as your question is not about how to make a layout for this but rather the functionality, you will need to take this to the forum about your preferred (or forced upon) server side language. From the description I would assume that would be ASP.

ASP indeed - thanks for the comment
