Hi
I want to send an html page email - I have read up and realise that is like coding some years ago - ie tables, etc

However, what I can't seem to find is how to actually create the email itself.

I have a little html page. I use outlook2000.

Could somebody please tell me how I actually put my little html page into the email

many thanks in advance
Edward

Well, just as a test, I pressed Ctrl-A followed Ctrl-C while viewing this thread, then opened Outlook, clicked NEW and clicked in the body area, then pressed CTRL-V and the formatted page appeared in the email body.

I made sure before pasting that the HTML option in the format menu was checked.

So I'm guessing you could do the same - view your html page in a browser, perform the same keystrokes and your html page would appear in the email body.

I use OL 2003 but I would think the concept would work in OL 2000.

You could also attach the HTML file as an attachment. That might irritate some email spam filters though.

Hope this helps.

This isn't strictly true. Many, if not most, mail clients support CSS layout to some degree.
There are certain things to watch out for, but you can do some nice stuff if you put your mind to it.

Take a look at
As for sending the mail.
Depending how many you are sending and tracking requirements you may want to look for a 3rd party service to send them for you. There are lots of these around and I suggest hitting Google to find one that fits your specific needs. The company I used to work for used Microsoft bCentral, but I am not sure this still exists in the same form.

Other options would be a mailing list manager script downloaded from the web, a home grown script or even just a mailing list created on your email client.

Remember though, that you should become familar with the legal aspects of sending bulk email. For instance you should always include details as to your company identity and a means of preventing future mails being sent.

Thanks for the posts.

Unfortunately, I am not any further forward. I tried the cut and paste as suggested above. I got nothing at all. I then tried opening an empty email, right clicking and view source. I then pasted in the the html.

But where do I save it? I tried using the default settings and nothing happens. I did have html selected.

I only want to send a few - so its not really a bulk or a spam.

How do I get the html into the email as it were?
