html msg in Outlook 98

I have Outlook 98 on Win95/98 machines. I also have Exchange 5.5 SP2. Occasionally, a HTML message came in and I replied back with added comments, part of the message will disappear when it reached the receiver and in my "Sent Items". I wonder if it's the version of Outlook (or Outlook Express) they use conflict with mine or there is a problem with Outlook 98. Any comments is appreciated.
