I was just wondering (I can't find anything in the darn bible) how (or can) I put a html page in a flash movie (or .swf) Also.. I know you're going to hate me asking but, Can I put a .exe file in a .swf file so they can use the small program like I can in html?? I know, I know, Old and dav.. You're the only one who would know..

"Help me oldnewbie! You're my only hope!" And Dav... LOL Thanks for being here guys and gals...

P.S.

Please note the &quot;gals&quot; for pbb... LOL <html>

Only thing I could find on opening an html from within flash!

And yes, with the FSCommand you can open an .exe. But this usually only works best locally. On-line you'll have to go through security warnings 'cause you can't force an .exe onto a user if he doesn't agree!
Although I hear using HTAs, whatever that is, opens up new possibilities! I'll have to check those!

I think I just need to get me another server... I need to turn mine in to a server some time I guess... I'm just tired of haveing to pay for everything... LOL I don't know anymore..

Thanks for the link.. I'm going to have to sit down and read it. (you know I'm too lazy too though) I've heard about HTAs but I'm not sure what they are or how to use them... I tell ya what... You tell me some trial or some demo software I'll crack it for ya.. I'll play with it to but???

I'm going to be taking text info and grafx from a html page that some one wants and (as usual) I'm to freaking lazy to redo the page exatly... They want the page to look exatly the same.. I know I know what you're going to say... It's always some one else... LOL Well this time and the other time it was someone else. I'll look at the page tonight.. Thanks.... P.S. If you go to the picture and then look at the forum it comes in??? Why I don't know... But here is what it should look like..

doesn't your link just force a new window, like using the '_blank' argument in getURL (but allowing menus etc to be disabled) ?

I'm stumped on this one, I know that f5 recognises 'some' html labels in dynamic text boxes but I haven't seen anything else other than whats in the Help section.

Frankly Dave... Didn't even read it! Just one item my search turned up & it seemed appropriate. Guess not... As I now try to understand what Sam is really trying to get at.

Ok! Sam! If your gif ain't workin' in your profile's page... It ain't going to work in the forums. Not a question of servers! BTW, don't you have more than one?

As for your question on opening an htlm in Flash just so that it be identical to the original htlm page itself, seems to me, it would be easier to just capture that screen, transform it into a gif and just use that as a background in Flash. You can add all you want over it and still maintain the original look, unless the html is very sophisticated with animations, sounds & whatever!

If you gave us the real link, we could have a look at it!
Don't worry! I won't steal the job!

I'm not worryed about you stilling the job.. I tell you what.. You want it you can have it.. He's giving $400 per map (ie two to three pages) The site is:

There isn't any animation in it and you know something.. The screen capture might be a good idea... So that's the reason that you get all the stars.... LOL Atleast from some of us.. LOL Well Thanks again for your help.. And just to let you know, it works in my profile.. And yes I have about ten or more... But all free.. Like I said, I'm tierd of haveing to pay for everything... But like the old saying goes, (you might know this one old) You get what you pay for.. Well thanks again.. The link above is the one that is needed for the flash.. Well I'm off to help catch those nasty Flashers... LOL
