Hey Tek-Tips, I am trying to find a way that by getting people to send me forms with information on them, I can easily (I have no idea what path to take though) import those numbers someway into an excel spread sheet.

I can't think of any easy ways, if you could give me a hand, or know of a way, that would be great.

Thanks
Caden

Input forms (html) Access ,Word tables, email

output if it is Tables in HTML, you could cut and paste
or make a webquery
Txt or ASCII you can import direct

Are we talking a few people or 100s or thousands

we're talking about probably 100 people over a long period of time.

Create the form in excel for them to enter the data then have them email the worksheet.
Import the sheet to your workbook and create a macro to strip the data.
This is a very simplified example. It really depends on what type of data. Is it replacing old data, is it adding new data, are they replacing the entire data sheet or changing the figures.
If it is raw data import in a delimited file.
There are unlimited options.

If you have a web server set up, it's fairly simple to use ASP or PHP to take the results of a form and load it into a database, spreadsheet or CSV file.

Let me know if you want help with that.

the ASP would be awesome, I haven't done ASP before, but i'm pretty good with Javascript and Actionscript, so if you could maybe point me to a tutorial with an example of this kind, if you know where one is, that would be great!

Thanks so much
