I've been using DW code validation, and find it states the way it inserts flash is invalid.

<embed src=&quot;banner.swf&quot; quality=&quot;high&quot; pluginspage=&quot; type=&quot;application/x-shockwave-flash&quot; width=&quot;468&quot; height=&quot;60&quot;></embed>

This line, it does not like the embed tags, or the width/height tags.

Anyone know what this is about?

I ahve jsut validated my code as well and am getting the same error.

With google now seemingly penlaising for code errors, this is a problem to me.

I would like an answer too if anywone knows it?

how can DW insert write code when sinerting flash, that is then marked as invalid by its own code valdiation?

stab in the dark....
missing the &quot;/&quot; at the end of &quot;getflashplayer&quot;?
or the semicolon? is it sposed to be there?
just guessing ;)

I stumbled across this link
which deals with the uglyness of using EMBED in particular, (from the site)

&quot; <embed> is not part of the XHTML specification and will prevent your page from validating. It is used by Netscape and similar browsers for displaying Flash movies. Parameters are passed within the element as name/value attribute pairs. &quot;

Perhaps this is the problem?
