How do I make HTML-based emails using MS Outlook 2002 (XP) ?

I've created an webpage, and I can create the HTML-email using Hotmail and Yahoo emails, but I cannot seem to make one using Outlook. Is there an option I need to select? I've found a "filter HTML tags before sending" option, but that doesn't seem to do anything.

Can anyone help?

thank you

jason

Hello Jason,
I'm currently in the progress of upgrading to XP. However, in Outlook 2000 to change the mail format you do the following:

<Tools> select <Options> click on the <Mail Format> tab and then change the "Send in this message format" to "HTML"

Unless Microsoft has done a total reworking of the menu system this should work.

Good Luck,
Michael

I don't have a "Send in this Message format" option.

I do have a "Compose Message in this format" option which is set to "HTML".

All it does is convert the tags to ascii characters. It does not filter the HTML code.
