Hi guys

Can anyone recommend a good (free!) WYSIWYG HTML editor for use in VFP (8)?

Just need some basic text formatting and the ability to save the text with its HTML tags into a field.

Thanks
Neil

A webbrowsercontrol and this would also work out.
webbrowsercontrol.Document.body.innerhtml will then give you the html body.

The essential part is not the URL, but to use the Aloha editor. This link is just a demo looking a bit like an simple word doc.

Bye, Olaf.

Thanks Olaf. I will have a play and see what fits best :)

Neil,

This might not be the best choice, but I'll mention it anyway, just in case it's of interest to anyone else.

The HTML editor which I have used on several projects is Tiny MCE. It is an excellent product, highly customisable, with lots of features (and free). However, it runs under Javascript. So, although it is do-able in VFP, it requires an additional layer, such as the Microsoft Web Browser control.

One noteworthy point about the product is that the licence agreement is signed by someone called Ty Coon, whose job title is "President of Vice".
