HTML Editor removing my "getdocument.axd" link

I'm not sure if this is an HTML issue, or just an issue with the portal website I'm using. Long story short - I'm trying to link to some files on another server. The files have the "getdocument.axd" type links. Here is a censored version of my link:

http://*****/getdocument.axd?cmd=getDocument&id=****.doc

Each time I put this link in my HTML editor and save, it removes the link!! Is this site-specific or do I need to enter this link differently in the HTML? Thanks for any help!

What editor are you using? Maybe it is trying to be smart by only parsing known extensions.
