when saving as html (for web). why cant i open the html file on my screen. our web designers want files as html-. can anyone explain briefly. i usually save as jpeg. is this something really complicated or can i do this?
Thanks...
it was a 5 by 7 page, with diff. pictures. our IT person opened it up in Word and then saved it as an html (web) and we sent it to the web people and they were able to use it. i have a mac. maybe that's the problem. i am really not sure. but i know in the future, they want text, etc, in html format. I am creating things in photoshop and imageready. but when i optimize for web it puts html separate and you cant open it. i can only open jpeg or gif. so i don't really know what html is...
Sounds like the file is saved as a picture (gif or jpg extension perhaps).
HTML (hyper Text Markup Language) is simply the language of web pages. It tells the browser where to place things on a screen.
You say they require text in HTML format. Text is much better imported into a web page as raw text and formatted within the page.
