Html converted applett not working

Hello I was advised by LeonTang to download a html converter
to get my java applett working. I have done so and have uploaded the converted version in my main directory at geocities. This is what it looks like and I get an error message saying: exception: access denied (java.net. Socket
Permission

http://www.resolve).

Can you tell me what I did wrong or what I need to do? I looked on the page that I downloaded this at and the link for documentation on how to get the applett working is dead.

You should have had a confirmation screen during conversion that told you how many files were processed, the number of applets found and total errors. What did it say?

HTML converter automatically creates a backup of the stuff it is converting so you should be able to go back and have another go.

What version of Java are you using? Did you download the correct HTML converter for that version of Java?

Very sorry, my mistake. You don't have to use a html converter to get it to work because it is built using jdk1.1(i think). The thing causing the error is the url. You shouldn't put '<Applet code = "

http://....">'

All you need is to put the name of the class file like '<Applet code = "text_scroller.class">'. The same goes for your background picture.
