We have just initiated a mail out of a web based newsletter. The newsletter is coded in html. As I am new to this, and we are under the gun, I loaded the newsletter to our website and emailed it via "Send Page" in Internet explorer.
I have discovered that the newsletter did not go to recipients with an @hotmail.com address and instead I got the following message:
'user@hotmail.com' on 10/21/02 1:16 PM
The e-mail system was unable to deliver the message, but did not report a specific reason. Check the address and try again. If it still fails, contact your system administrator.
<mail.gbl.ca #2.0.0 smtp;250 user@hotmail.com >
Is this related to the format of the web page mailed out; is any additional code required in the html to get to these users? Presently the html code is just that required to display the newsletter as one of the pages on our website.
Is there a more effective way to mass email a newsletter?
Would it work better if I used a frameset that points to the webpage content instead?
Thanks for your help.
