html area map onclick play music

Hello

I have reference an mp3 file on my website and am having difficulty with the coding of playing the music. I don't want a new window to appear, just to play once and then stop.

Can someone please help me out with this?

you are hyperlinking to an audio file and so the browser will behave depending on how the users browser is set up.

you could look at these links for inspiration..

and simply change your <area shape=rect coords="20,249,111,271" href="javascriptlay_sound_function('mm_jingle.mp3';">

replacing play_sound_function with the javascript function used to play your sound.

this should give you a good head start anyway
