I am testing an HSRP configuration on two 4506s. I have a group of SVIs running HSRP between the two 4506s with a trunk carrying my normal vlans as well as the new group of SVIs. My question is do i need to have them included in the trunk? I am also running EIGRP because i have several switches in layer 3 that connect back to the 4506s. On 4506-2 the routing is huge. For every SVI that is on 4506-1, it has a network learned from the HSRP SVIs. 4506-2 only has the SVIs running HSRP, no other SVIs.
Any suggestions as to why i have these "redundant" routes in my routing table or is this typical with HSRP.
ex: The 200-203 are the SVIs running HSRP.
